Revised version of my popular “Bitcrusher” Sony Mavica bend! Now with a mini patch bay in addition to the 11 face buttons of my initial build. The buttons allow for some fun and wacky color processor effects including partial chroma inversion, posterization, halo and noise effects. The mini patch bay gives you total control over the image sensor, allowing for some really pink/purple melts, ranging from barely there to completely obliterated. And yes, you can combine both sets of effects for something really unique!
If you’re unfamiliar with Sony Mavica cameras, these hefty boys write to floppy disk. Really! Even unglitched photos manage some very unique lo-res shots complete with JPEG dithering indicative of the days of dial-up internet and the first wave of consumer digital cameras. Comes with 5 floppy disks, USB floppy drive, battery pack, and charger.

A low-res beauty that writes to floppy disk. Really! 11 push buttons on the face of the camera control different color processor effects. This results in some wacky chroma choices and interesting gradation patterns. 11 push button effects give you a huge amount of control and versatility! Includes, battery pack, charger, 5 floppy disks, and a USB floppy disk drive.

After weeks of research and many failed attempts, I’ve finally landed on a DSLR glitch cam that produces some worthwhile effects. Embedded in the side of the camera is an 18-port mini patch bay, which does all kinds of weird things, ranging from grainy color wash dithering, to posterized effects, to a really cool chroma-smear. Obfuscator imbues you with raw system-level control in a professional form factor. This is also one of the last Sony DSLR’s to use a CCD sensor.
Note: Lens not included. If you need one, message me and I’ll see what I can do. Most all of the patches do something cool, though some are less reactive than others, and a few specific combos can cause a crash.
