Glitches
I try to only include what I consider to be the most stable glitch effects across my builds, but negative glitches can happen. They’re a normal side-effect of testing the limits of what each camera is capable of. While rare, it’s expected you may encounter errors that will only clear with a hard reset or a power cycle.
Form
I’m mainly sourcing used cameras, and only buy what I consider to be in good to excellent condition. Your camera may have been hardly used, or you might notice some signs from its former life. Blemishes that don’t affect usability, such as light scratches, worn finishes, or rubbed off lettering may be present.
Function
Each camera is tested for good-feeling button presses, physical mechanisms, lens-motor action, and an intact LCD panel. However, decades old electronics mean the CMOS battery is almost certrainly dead (and due to anti-consumer practices, entirely unserviceable). Fortunately, all this component controls is the onboard photostamp clock. You can safely skip past any “set date” prompt.
Paint
Paintjobs from my product page are examples of past builds. Please add a note to your order if you would like specific colors for your custom paintjob, or if you’d rather your camera remain unpainted. I can’t guarantee exact accuracy, but I can guarantee your paintjob will be very cool, and one-of-a-kind. Certain camera models may only allow me to get at one side of the shell, if that’s the case, you’ll see that reflected in the example photos.
Warranty
While unlikely, in the event something renders all or part of your camera unusable, contact me, and I’ll fix it or you’ll be issued a replacement, free of charge. I stand by my work!
Note: I only insure against the electronic life of the camera, not “wear and tear,” so no drop damage, battery corrosion, water/dirt ingress, etc, and you’ve gotta send it back to me first! Allow up to 3 weeks lead time in the event a replacement is necessary, 1-2 weeks if it’s only a repair.
